How To Schedule Your Pins For FREE

Did you know you could schedule your pins for FREE?!

Pinterest has completely changed the course of my blog and business and has truly allowed me to grow my traffic and online presence in a way that eventually allowed me to go full-time with it.

If you’re serious about doing the same and you know just how powerful Pinterest is, I’m sure you’ve done your research and have probably heard about the two methods of pinning:

  • manual pinning
  • a Pinterest automation tool like Tailwind

One isn’t better than the other, but manual pinning is usually a bit more time consuming than scheduling your pins…

But there’s actually one more trick up your sleeve if you find that you don’t have time to pin daily but also don’t have the money to fork over for something like Tailwind. You can schedule out your pins using Pinterest’s native scheduler!

It’s actually super easy to do this so I’m going to dive in and teach you exactly how to schedule your pins for free with Pinterest’s native scheduler.

#1 Go to Pinterest & Click “Create Pin”

So first you’ll head over to Pinterest.com and click “create pin” just like you would create any new pin on the platform.

#2 Click on “Publish at a later date”

On this page, you’ll notice towards the bottom an option that says “Publish at a later date”

This will show you more options such as an option to select the date and time you want this pin to be published.

You’ll also notice that the “Save from site” button is gone. Unfortunately, you can’t save from websites when using the native scheduler. You have to manually upload the image.

#3 Upload your image & Pinterest text

Next, you’ll want to upload your Pinterest graphic. You can click to upload it or simply drag and drop it into the space.

Afterward, you’ll want to fill in the title, description, and link. If you need help coming up with a powerful description, check out this blog post all about using keywords to get found on Pinterest.

#4 Schedule your pin

Once your pin is ready to be scheduled, you’ll select a board up at the top and then hit publish.

After that, you’ll be able to see all your scheduled pins right on your profile!

And that’s all there is to it! It’s pretty simple and easy to set up for those that aren’t ready to use Tailwind but also don’t want to be manually pinning all the time. But before you go off and start using the native scheduler to schedule your pins for free, I do want to point out a few cons first.

Cons

The native scheduler is pretty awesome, but there are some drawbacks to it as well.

  • You can’t schedule more than 30 pins at once
  • You can’t schedule pins further out than 2 weeks in advance.
  • Once pins are scheduled, you can’t edit them if you make a mistake.

Overall, it’s a really great option for beginners. If you see you’re gaining traction from scheduling your pins, awesome! You can always decide later on if you want to upgrade to Tailwind. I will say that the free native scheduler saves you a bit of time but nowhere near as much time as Tailwind.

I always recommend Tailwind all the way because of how much you can do with it (plus access to Tailwind Tribes!) but if you’re still on the fence about it, this might work out better for you.

If you use the native scheduler to schedule your pins for free, let me know in the comments below!
