You’ve probably heard of landing pages. But you’re totally clueless about how they work. Or maybe you think they’re just for the pro bloggers.
I used to not really know what they were and what they were used for. I didn’t know that they would change the game forever but once I implemented them into my email marketing strategy, I quickly saw the results.
What is a landing page?
A landing page is a page on your blog that has a specific goal in mind. And the one goal is to convert.
If you’ve got your blog ready and your email list all set up, then you’re ready to take things to the next level.
You’ve heard about offering freebies to get people on your list & maybe you’ve even started to create but no one’s biting.
Well, the function of a landing page is to convert a website visitor into a lead… aka get their email.
So you want to use landing pages to your advantage and help funnel people into your email list. We want to get them to subscribe!
Landing pages are amazing because there isn’t much distraction and the page focuses on one goal, it’s more likely for you to be able to capture these leads and grow your email list. Why should you use a landing page?
You should use landing pages because they’re a great way to grow your email list (obvs) and they’re a great way to find potential customers & clients.
You want to grow your email list because that is your audience. If you want to launch a digital product in the future, this is your audience filled with potential customers.
It’s a great way to monetize your blog & grow your traffic. Landing pages that help you build your email list help you build your AUDIENCE.
They’re priceless and so worth it. I personally find that they convert at a higher rate than a plain old opt-in form on your sidebar.Landing pages are THE best way to grow your blog & email list. Here's how to get started! Click To Tweet
How to build landing pages
If you have WordPress, you can build your own landing pages right on your blog. This option is totally free but can be quite limiting. You don’t have full control over the page and it isn’t quite as pretty.
BUT it is possible. You can create a landing page on WordPress by making a page, adding some copy about what you are offering and adding an opt-in form.
So yes, they’re not as versatile. You might still be stuck with the general layout of your blog like your sidebar and header and all that which can be distracting to get visitors to that one goal in mind.
I find that my old DIY landing page was not as high converting as a landing page with no other distractions in place.
Using Bluchic Landing Page Templates
If you’ve been searching up how to create landing pages, so many blogs out there recommend LeadPages. It’s a platform that allows you to build the landing page templates. While it is an option for you, I do find that it is expensive for beginner bloggers.
It kept coming up for me last year while I was doing research and I tried to justify the price ($25/month) but I just couldn’t get myself to swing it. So I figured “Oh, well. Maybe someday I’ll have beautiful landing pages.”
That is until I stumbled upon Bluchic’s Landing Page Templates!
Okay, for real. Bluchic made my landing page dreams a reality for a smaller investment than LeadPages. And it has practically paid for itself since I’ve started using them.
So the templates are a one-time charge of $109 (and you continue to get any updates they make to the templates!)
The bundle includes 15 landing page templates that you can use for WordPress. They include:
- Webinar Registration Page
- Webinar Live Replay Page
- Webinar Thank You Page
- Long Opt-in Page
- Short Opt-in Page
- Opt-in Thank You Page
- Freebie Library Access Page (psst… check out my tutorial on this)
- Freebie Library Opt-In Page
- Freebie Library Thank You Page
- Tripwire Opt-in Page
- Tripwire Page
- Tripwire Thank you Page
- Sales Page Thank You
- Sales Page
- Sales Waitlist / Offer Expired Page
PHEW. Yes, so you get a template for literally everything.
I’m obsessed with these templates and now I *only* use them for all my landing page needs. You can check out live demos of all their templates.
How do they work?
You do not need to know any type of coding to use these templates. All you need is the Elementor plugin. Then you upload the templates, and you can edit them using simple dragging and dropping.
The great thing about them is that they come with a PDF guide. So once you go through the guide and set everything up it should become second nature to you. You can change out colors, photos, fonts, graphics, literally everything and customize it entirely to fit your brand.

And sooo much more. Plus they’re mobile-friendly & responsive which is super important to me.
If you’re ready to grow your business, I definitely recommend using landing pages on your website. Whether you decide to DIY it or use templates, you will not regret it. They have helped me build my email list because I’ve been able to share direct opt-in pages on my blog AND on Pinterest.
Pinterest is one of my biggest traffic sources (if you’re ready to use it, you don’t want to miss this post), and I’ve been able to create pins and link them back directly to landing pages with amazing results.
