I recently got the chance to try out Caked Co. Lip Fondant lipsticks in three shades. I was able to snag them through an Ipsy Offer! This is the first Ipsy Offer I have ever redeemed and it was such a good deal. I got 3 liquid lipsticks for $18 (a $48 value!) It was too good of an opportunity for me to pass up. I snagged the Sweet Talker Set which is three shades — Creme de la Creme, Low Key and Legit.
So here’s a little bit about Caked themselves —

I was dying to try Caked for such a long time, but never got the chance to. Their sweets-themed cosmetics are so cute and I love the name “lip fondant.” I was really excited about this offer because I loved indie, cruelty-free cosmetics brands. Plus they’re located in Florida (like me!)
I cannot get over how adorable this packaging it. Is it not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?! They have a bright pink top that looks like frosting and sprinkles on a cupcake! The top of the lid has a C that looks like a donut with a bite in it and the box is pink and purple with frosting and sprinkles on it too with their logo. That alone totally caught my eye about these lippies.
The lipstick tubes feel heavy duty and full of product — unlike some other liquid lipstick brands. It doesn’t feel lightweight or cheap at all. Definitely worth the price!
Now here are the lip fondant swatches!
The colors are absolutely gorgeous and I love each one. Here’s a little bit about each shade:
- Creme de la Creme is a really beautiful cool-toned nude. On fairer skin tones, it may come off as a little bit more of a brown color.
- Low Key is a dusty, muted terracotta. According to their website, this shade either pulls red or pink depending on your natural lip color. I personally found this color to look like a more reddish tone rather than pink on me (as pictured above.) But it is somehow very distinctly different from your average red lipstick.
- Legit is a deep berry color with blue undertones. It’s like a purple/hot pink shade without being TOO on the purple side.
My favorite out of all three is definitely Low Key!
The formula of these liquid lipsticks is AMAZING. They smell like heaven and they are so long lasting. Each one has a vanilla scent that is not overpowering and they do not come off easily or flake. It is so creamy, applies easily, and is super comfortable. I wore each color out for several hours and each one was extremely transferproof and kissproof. This formula dries down to matte super quick and looks gorgeous when it dries.
The lip fondants don’t accentuate fine lines when they dry and they do not budge. Even though they dry quickly, I did not find the actual formula to feel drying on my lips like some other matte liquid lipsticks can be. The formula is mousse-like and reminds me of OFRA liquid lipsticks. I always prefer a mousse-like texture for my liquid lipsticks because they feel so smooth on the lips.
Overall, I loved each lip fondant so much. I am so glad I was able to try them out through an Ipsy Offer and I cannot wait to buy more. The packaging and colors wowed me, but the formula sealed the deal! I highly recommend these lipsticks because they are so high quality and affordable. Caked offers free ground shipping on domestic orders over $35 and they ship internationally.
