Blogging Tools,

I started blogging earlier this year and I can honestly say I have learned so much in such a short amount of time. I have done countless hours of research and taught myself everything I know. And I’m still learning every single day on this crazy blogging journey I’ve decided to take.

I’ve put together a list of 5 awesome blogging tools that I cannot live without and that every blogger should be using. I use these on a daily basis and each one is extremely useful in so many ways. Some of these tools have paid features which you are welcome to use, but I simply use the free versions of each one (I’m trying to blog on a budget here!)

When it comes to running a blog, there are so many things you need to take care of. These tools can simplify your life, help grow your blog, and save you a ton of time and money! So without further ado, here’s the list I’ve compiled of my favorite blogging tools (in no particular order):

Grammarly

Grammarly is a really great tool to check your spelling, punctuation, and grammar mistakes. It proofreads your writing for any errors you may have missed while you’re writing your blog posts. It is an automated proofreader that checks for more than 250 types of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors, enhances vocabulary usage, and suggests citations. I installed the Chrome Extension of Grammarly and it has been such a lifesaver. I’m not a perfect writer so I love having this tool by my side!

Yoast SEO Plugin

As a blogger, you know that Search Engine Optimization is HUGE. This is so so so important because it helps your blog get optimized for Google and other search engines, which brings in more traffic! The Yoast SEO plugin sets guidelines that help you write better content for your blog. This plugin allows you to select keywords, view your readability, and many more useful functions. It has a snippet of what your post will look like on Google so you can see exactly what others see when they search for it in Google. It helps make sure your title and meta descriptions are optimized and written in a way that will help grow your blog big time.

Google Analytics

Good ol’ Google Analytics! This is one tool I seriously cannot live without. It measures tons of website date such as page views, bounce rate, pages per visit and percentage of new visits. It tells you where your traffic is coming from and what they are doing on your website. This helps you figure out which posts are successful and bringing in traffic. It also tells you which method of promotion is working best for your website.

With Google Analytics, you can see a post that is getting a ton of page views and all these page views are coming from Pinterest or Facebook or wherever it is that you promoted it! This more or less lets you know what you’re doing right so you keep doing it or what you’re doing wrong. Google Analytics helps uncover what your best content is and what it is people are looking for when they go on your website.

Canva

Canva is AMAZING. No seriously. If you’re not using it, you need to. It’s a free graphic design tool that has a super simple drag and drop interface. It is so easy to use and creates beautiful graphics for your website or blog. I use Canva to make all of my Pinterest images! I also use it to create some of ebooks and freebies for my free resource library. I also use Photoshop along with Canva, but if you’re not familiar with Photoshop — don’t sweat it because you can make just as beautiful images with Canva alone.

Canva isn’t limited to just Pinterest images though. There are a million things you can make on it such as Facebook posts, infographics, blog graphics, cards, posters, headers and Instagram posts. There are so many options and anyone can make gorgeous images with 0 graphic design skills! It is that easy and such a time saver.

MailerLite

MailerLite is an email marketing software. I use it send out newsletters and manage my subscriber list. Having an email list is extremely important and I love MailerLite because it is completely free up to 1,000 subscribers and includes Automation features for free as well.

With MailerLite, I’m able to create beautiful newsletters with their drag and drop interface. It creates emails that are mobile-friendly and allows you to see statistics for each email newsletter you send out. And if you do go over 1,000 subscribers, they have very affordable plans for that as well! There are other email programs you could use like MailChimp, Convertkit, etc. But I personally love MailerLite. I recommend you do research for what your blog or business needs and make your decision based on that!

And those are my absolute favorite tools I use for blogging! What’s your favorite tool?
