Once a month I publish an Ipsy Glam Bag review and it’s that time again!
If you’re not familiar with Ipsy, it is a monthly beauty subscription that sends you 5 beauty products in an Ipsy glam bag based on your preferences each month. The products range between deluxe-sized and full-sized and they come in a very cute makeup bag! I really love Ipsy because it is a great way to expand your makeup collection for cheap. It is only $10 a month with free shipping and it allows you to explore new products and brands you probably would never try on your own.
I am obsessed with this subscription because I love the super cute makeup bags they send and I love getting to use new products every month. I am very excited to share with you what I received this month and give you an in-depth June Ipsy Glam Bag review!
This month’s bag:
This month’s bag design is super cute. I wasn’t sure I would like it when they first revealed the design, but now I love it! It’s a cute canvas type of bag with polka dots and lips on the front. The bag’s design is inspired by the theme “volume up.” According to Ipsy, this loud and proud pouch is a not-so-subtle reminder to *always* speak your mind! I love this message and it’s a cute theme for this month.
Now onto the items –
City Color Cosmetics
Shimmer Shadow – FULL SIZE ($4.99 value)
This eyeshadow is absolutely stunning. No seriously. It is. It’s a copper-toned glittery high-voltage shimmer shadow. It applies to easily and is extremely pigmented. It has an intense, heavy metal finish that is so perfect for the summer right now. I received the shade Cheers to Life and I am obsessed with this bronze shade. I love using warm-toned eyeshadows so this is a perfect shadow to create new bold looks with. Plus it’s full size! Score!
Uncover DETOXIFYING MUD MASK – 15 mL ($16.20 value)
A while back I found out that you could actually request items from the spoilers in your Ipsy bag each month and this is the 2nd month I’ve done this and I requested this mud mask. Ipsy does not disappoint when it comes to adding your requests to your bags! So I’m a huge fan of face masks and like cream-type masks much more compared to sheet masks. This mud mask is a detoxifying mask that clarifies, refines, and smooths your skin.
One thing I did not like about this mask was the scent. It’s not completely horrible. The fragrance is tolerable but not very great. Other than that, the actual mask was amazing! The Hey Honey mask is made with of “an amazing cocktail of Dead Sea black mud, honeysuckle, aloe, and Propolis.” And according to Ipsy, Propolis is an exotic compound produced by bees thought to fight infections, heal wounds, and more.
This mask softened my skin and tightened my pores. It made my skin feel great! I love that it has all natural ingredients and definitely did the trick to soothe and cleanse my skin. I wish the sample was bigger, but I’m so glad I requested it.
If you want more information on how you can request items for your Ipsy Glam Bag, here’s what to do:

Balm Springs Blush – (≈$3.75 value)
I’m a huge fan of the Balm Cosmetics so I knew I’d love this blush and I DID! It’s a gorgeous matte blush with rosy undertones. I cannot get enough of the Balm. It is long-wearing and just so stunning… I’m wearing it as I type this review! I’ve gotten a few blushes from Ipsy and some have been too bright and pink for my taste, but this one is just right. I love it! It’s definitely one of my favorite blushes from the Balm. Second only to Bahama Mama!
I highly recommend this blush or any from this brand in general. They do not disappoint with their products. I have yet to NOT like something from the Balm Cosmetics!
Beauty For Real
I-LINE 24-7 Eyeliner – FULL SIZE ($14 value)
Next up is the I-LINE 24-7 eyeliner. I was surprised when I noticed this eyeliner was actually brown! I’ve received eyeliners from Ipsy before and they have always been black felt tip liners. I’ve never used a brown eyeliner before so I did give it a shot and it’s very pretty.
I liked it a lot and it was very pigmented. It did not smudge either! I didn’t think it was much different than other brands of pencil liners I’ve tried. to be completely honest, I rarely ever use pencil liners so there’s not much for me to say about this one. This eyeliner feels the same to me as any drugstore retractable eyeliner. I do kinda wish I had received the other shade which was gold!
NYX Professional Makeup
Whipped Lip & Cheek Soufflé – FULL SIZE ($6 value)
I liked this lipstick and it’s good for everyday use, however, I’m not completely in love with it. When I saw it would be coming in my bag this month I was really excited, but when I actually tried it out I wasn’t a huge fan. I received the shade Plush. I personally thought the color was a little too light for my skin tone and it was a little bit patchy. I’ll probably still use it to wear to work but it is not really a favorite when it comes to NYX Cosmetics products. I prefer their soft matte lip creams or their lip lingeries over this whipped lip.
However, this is supposed to be a featherlight formula so I understand why it wasn’t full coverage. I think if I had received a different shade I would’ve loved it much more!
Apparently, you can use this product on your cheeks as well. I’m not too sure about that part as I haven’t tried it yet. But there’s something about lip & cheek stains that I’m not fond of! I’d rather put on a powder blush and leave the stains for the lips rather than using the product for both.

CITY COLOR Shimmer Shadow
NYX Cosmetics Whipped Lip in Plush
I-LINE 24-7 Eyeliner
I loved most of the products I received in this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag. There were three full sized products in this month’s bag and the bag had an overall value of about $45, which is AMAZING and well above the $10 I paid for the subscription. This is not including the value of the actual makeup bag! The bag had great value this month and Ipsy ALWAYS gives me products worth more than the $10 I paid, which that alone is definitely worth getting the subscription.
What is your favorite product that you received this month?
