Last weekend, my boyfriend surprised me with an anniversary trip to Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival in Orlando, FL! This was our first time ever going to this festival together. We spent just a couple days in Orlando and it was absolutely wonderful.
I love Epcot, but I hadn’t been back for years (since I was a little girl!) So it was like seeing it brand new all over again. Together, we got to visit many different countries and try out different foods than we would normally eat, all while looking at the beautiful topiaries of the festival. We visited Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, and Canada.
We decided to have lunch in Germany and dinner in Morrocco because some of the other countries like Mexico and China are foods we can get any time back at home. The food was so delicious and extremely high quality. We had Bratwurst in Germany and Lamb Platters in Morrocco. We also tried different snacks and desserts from other countries.Although the food was definitely one of my favorite parts of the festival, I was in complete awe at how detailed these flower topiaries were. I just had to snap shots of them!
We loved how beautiful the architecture was in each and every country. Epcot was extremely detailed in creating these countries and creating authentic dishes for the Outdoor Kitchens and restaurants. We can’t afford to travel the world to these actual countries right now, but it was wonderful being able to feel like we traveled the world in one day.
Although the food and architecture were definitely some of my favorite parts of the festival, I was in complete awe at how detailed these flower topiaries were. I just had to snap shots of them!
Here’s a list of 10 stunning sights we saw at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival:
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Donald Duck
5. Born in China
8. Winnie the Pooh
9. Lumiére and Cogsworth
All of these flower topiaries were absolutely stunning! They are so detailed and depicted these Disney characters so accurately. There were many more beautiful topiaries at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival that didn’t make the cut. I love nature so this was something that I’ve wanted to go to for a long time. I am so happy my boyfriend surprised me with this trip. It was the best anniversary ever!
If you’ve never been to the festival before, I highly recommend visiting at least once in your life. My boyfriend and I loved it so much, we would love to make this a tradition in the future!
